James Hype drops seismic new single ‘Lose Control’

James Hype makes his long-awaited return to the Insomniac Records imprint with his sophomore single ‘Lose Control’, a future festival and club staple in the making.

Building upon his ability to bring unforgettable vocals to the fore, ‘Lose Control’ finds James dusting off a classic R&B vocal from the ‘90s. Pitched-up while still retaining its soul-stirring quality, the iconic hook loops atop sharp claps, tension-building pads, and sporadic synths. The full impact of the main refrain sets in as classic rave stabs and a jackin’ groove push the peak-time number over the edge.

‘Lose Control’ is Hype’s follow-up to last year’s smash hit ‘Ferrari’, which peaked at #6 in the Official Charts and has over 400 millions Spotify streams

As one of London’s most influential house exports, platinum-selling producer James Hype has been relentlessly engineering global hits that live up to the meaning of his namesake. In 2021, he partnered up with international phenom Vintage Culture on their massive collab ‘You Give Me A Feeling’, which enjoyed a torrent of tastemaker support from crews at BBC R1, Capital Dance, Kiss FM, Sirius XM and iHeart Radio. James Hype’s follow-up offering has all the right ingredients to make crowds succumb to the power of its title, arriving just in time ahead of his hotly tipped set at EDC Las Vegas this month.

One of the UK’s most successful artists, James Hype propelled onto the scene with platinum-selling, UK Top 10 debut single ‘More Than Friends’, racking up hundreds of millions of streams and later remixing tracks from chart toppers Joel Corry, Clean Bandit, Mabel and many more global talents such as Meduza and Bruno Mars

‘Lose Control is destined to be another jewel in James Hype’s crown as the platinum-selling producer gears up for a summer of club mayhem, starting with his set at EDC Las Vegas next month.
