West London based DJ and producer Jon Henry has quickly learnt the ropes of electronic music and in just a few months he’s now on track with the first hints of success. Having worked as an actor and model, his attendance at a Dance music festival turned his career path to become a fast moving talent within the DJing and music production scene.
Having been involved in the music industry for less than a year, Jon Henry polished his roots as a musician and has been very active in the studio devising his own taste of House sounds. In the meantime he has also landed a residency at an exclusive place in London and has also established his own imprint by the name of House Of Henry.
Jon Henry’s latest effort is a production targeted to make waves as part of Spinnin’ Records’ remix competition for KSHMR’s ‘Jammu’. Jon Henry’s ‘Future of Jammu Mix’ is a Future House rendition of KSHMR’s original wonder, boasting his own unique style. Exotic, percussive rhythms and an infectious House inspired drum groove are the basis for this powerful remix. Magical melodies take over, firstly through smooth guitars and then with harsher synth riffs, which give a danceable feel to this track together with the pumping lead section. An array of diverse effects spice up the mood, whilst offering catchy variations, making this remix truly a highly-original creation.
Spinnin’ Records’ ‘Jammu’ remix competition reserved some amazing prizes for the winners. The lucky remixer finishing in 1st position will be entitled to an official collaboration with KSHMR to be released on Spinnin’ Records, whilst those placing second and third will be given a wide range of production equipment and software. Jon Henry’s remix is certainly a worthy contender for this competition and would certainly deserve attention for the remarkable twist it offers.
