Here come a couple of cracking uplifting house cuts from the Weirdo camp as Jason Herd launches his brand new ‘Weirdo Cuts Volume 1’ EP series, featuring 2 hefty collaborations to kick off the label’s Spring season.
‘On My Mind’ sees Jason team up with pianist Davos (from Deep Sea Cosmonauts), creating a slamming piano house romp, ripe with distorted drums, Rhodes and organ stabs, classic bass, a monstrous piano breakdown and lush vocals from the legendary Lisa Millet.
On ‘Running’, Jason teams up with the brilliant Tom Da Lips to create a saxy peak time floor filler where Tom’s freestyle performance cuts through a potent groove made uplifting old school filtered pianos, a driving bassline, choppy organ stabs and hypnotic vocals.
