Flying Machine is a track inspired by Contemporary Art. A few years before I made it I worked on a contemporary art project for Pompidou Center (Paris) on the 100 years of the « Futurist Manifesto » from Italy. They ask me to create an installation using film, sound, the lighting, and various other things and in the process of working on the project I got a large amount of archives films from the era and one piece of the films was about airplanes and the excitement about air travel and how people were experimenting with speed, vagility, and aerodynamics types of things. So I thought it was interesTing to make a track about flying machines and how people were (and still are) excited about the idea of flying like a bird » |
