JES – TWO SOULS (TORIO REMIX)

When it comes to releasing a big dance music track there are a few things you can do to make sure it goes well. Aside from the obvious moves of having a top label like Magik Muzik handling things – it’s becoming apparent that having Torio on remix duties will also do you the world of good. The ever-dynamic producer has made a reputation for himself as a premier talent behind the desk and with his discography swelling every month, Torio’s back to what he does best as he lights up JES’ ‘Two Souls’ with a phenomenal driving take on the elegant original.

Taking a highly inventive arsenal of fresh synths cooked up in his forward-thinking studio – Torio takes the euphoric original and gives it a gritty and pumping bass for the main sections, abruptly halting the ‘hands-up’ moments in the breaks and letting off a vicious flurry of bass hits that bounce off the subs with a technical precision that we’ve come to expect from one of the most-gifted producers in the business. With the angelic vocals of JES ensuring the foundations of the rework are of the highest order – Torio has come in with a fresh angle that lifts the roof with stacks of inspiring leads that shine through the speakers when merged with the original vocals which also get the Torio touch when gradually lifted into the higher octaves when he launches the buildup into a dramatic crescendo before the imminent bass relief of the drops. Tying together imposing synths, bold drum arrangements, shattering sub content and his usual systematically executed FX and technical nuances – he’s done it again and we wouldn’t expect anything less.

Torio’s ability to compete with the very best electronic music in the world when it comes to quality is no lucky streak – as he’s proving time and time again that he’s worthy of a seat at the table of the most legendry labels in the game. With Magik Muzik of course sticking to their strict A&R policy for nothing but the very best in new forward-thinking music that’s designed for memorable moments on the dance floor, the imprint continues to prove why their one of the elites and with the likes of Torio on board – that’s nothing something that’ll be changing anytime soon.
