Multi-BRIT award nominated DJ & producer Joel Corry has unveiled his remix of Lewis Thompson and David Guetta’s latest single ‘Take Me Back’. Listen HERE. The 90s tinged rework is laced with a floor filling breakdown and brings new energy to the infectious crossover single.
Speaking about the track Joel says: ‘Take Me Back is an absolute banger from my good friends Lewis Thompson & David Guetta. I was playing the original in my DJ sets for weeks and was buzzing when asked to do the remix. I added some club edge and techy vibes with the remix. It has been going down a treat on the dancefloor!’
Lewis adds: “Joel is a legend and someone I’m lucky enough to have as a really close friend. I’m buzzing for him to be jumping on the remix duties for ‘Take Me Back!”
The original version of ‘Take Me Back’ is showing no signs of slowing down, the track has garnered over 5.5 million streams and has received a wealth of support from BBC Radio 1, Kiss, Capital Dance, Mistajam and more.
Joel Corry has become one of UK dance music’s most in demand acts over the last few years following his big breakthrough single ‘Sorry’ in 2019. Since then, he has had 7 UK Top 20 singles including the massive No1‘Head & Heart (With MNEK)’ which saw the DJ and producer nominated for three BRIT Awards. Supplying remixes for massive household names such as Sam Smith, Diplo and Ed Sheeran, Corry has further cemented his reputation for delivering huge dance anthems.
‘Take Me Back’ is Lewis Thompson’s first single as an artist in his own right since signing with RCA, but it’s by no means his first floor-filler. One half of DJ/producer duo Just Kiddin’, Thompson has carved a name for himself as one of the most prolific and in demand producers on the scene. He has previously worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including MNEK, Joel Corry, Anne-Marie, Little Mix, Becky Hill, James Hype and Jade Thirlwall and is behind some of the top selling UK singles. Now, with an arsenal of his own feel-good dance-pop anthems, Lewis looks set to step out of the shadows and become one of the biggest names in UK music.
With over 14 billion global streams, 50 million records sold worldwide and two Grammy awards to his name, David Guetta demonstrates time and time again why he is the most cherished electronic artist of our generation. Receiving his 10th GRAMMY nomination in 2021 for ‘Hero’, his collaboration with Afrojack, Guetta was also nominated for three Brit Awards, voted the world’s best DJ in the coveted DJ Mag ‘Top 100’ poll and the best electronic artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards. To round off an impressive first quarter of the year he has released new single ‘What Would You Do’ with Joel Corry and huge hit ‘Crazy What Love Can Do’ with Becky Hill and Ella Henderson.
