JOHN NORMAN – VERB
Canadian artist John Norman releases his newest EP Verb on UNT Records April 27, 2015. Establishing himself as one of the new and exciting voices in the Techno world, his rhythm driven yet melodic productions, have caught the ear of techno luminaries such as Kevin Saunderson, Adam Beyer Richie Hawtin and Carl Cox. Launching this spring, Norman presents his latest work Verb, in an EP with 1 original and 1 remix by Alex D’Elia.
Kicking off the EP is Norman’s original version of Verb, with its pummelling bassline and echoing vocals easing its way in. The BPM speeds up into a dark ominous tunnel of mysterious sound effects, into a vortex of techno. At 7 minutes and 15 seconds, Norman demonstrates what his sound is all about – pushing for unique and distinctive high-quality sounds with a focus on the dance floor. Italian producer Alex D’Elia remixes Verb into his own techno utopia, with a sense of urgency throughout. Fuelled by a swift bassline and hypnotic twinkle, D’Elia’s remix has an infectious groove.
