MDK Records front man Jois Audino is firing hard for 2015 with his storming single release ‘The Gray’ – which is out now on his own stamp. True to form for Jois – this latest serving is a solid rage of machine Techno that’ll stand up tall next his long and winding discography of malicious productions. With supports and chart slots already steaming in – it’s looking like another winning formula from a producer that means business.
Tough and gritty throughout – ‘The Gray’ is a typical Jois Audino effort with pumping sub kicks, chaotic percussion and a wrath of mechanical FX and edits that duck in and out throughout the ever-changing segments of the track. The metallic nature of the percussion gives ‘The Gray’ a dark and hypnotic atmosphere, whilst retaining a bite through a passage of chunky, but not over the top saturation and distortion. Jois uses a library of short edits to compile his own clunking percussion loops and grooves which are stiff, but still carry a rhythm that demands attention.
Having already slammed into the Beatport Techno charts – ‘The Gray’ is another vindication of the demand for this hard-edged breed of Techno that’s poking up from the underground and selling better than ever. There’s no doubt a crossroads for House and Techno lurking with the laid-back and deep mega-wave becoming overplayed for some – and those with a desire for something more substantial are slowly but surely getting to know the beefier end of the Techno spectrum.
With over 100 tracks under his belt through the likes of Danceandlove, Ego Music and Saifam – Jois is pushing his sound on into 2015 and picking up a loyal following of international supporters who are all mad about rough-cut Techno music.
