Jon Hopkins announced as special mystery guest for Lost Village 2019!

With just under three months to go, Lost Village have unveiled their mystery special guest as the transcendental Jon Hopkins.

Residing in the upper echelons of electronic music, alongside the likes of Bonobo, Four Tet and Aphex Twin, Jon Hopkins is a timeless artist whose meticulously produced music transcends genres, trends and borders. Mind-bendingly creative, his body of work continues to draw critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, 6Music, Resident Advisor and beyond.

Just a year after his exceptional fifth album ‘Singularity’, and hot on the heels of two sold-out Brixton Academy headline shows – Jon now has his sights set firmly on the forest of the Lost Village.

In just a few short years Lost Village has become one of Europe’s most anticipated annual experiences. A yearly pilgrimage for those seeking ethereal escapism of an intimate nature, Villagers embark on a 4-day odyssey in an abandoned forest in the depths of Lincolnshire.

As you navigate between forgotten junkyards and derelict airports, you’ll unearth all manner of wonderful discoveries, with music, comedy, talks, creative workshops and beautiful spas all pockets of this truly surreal dreamscape, entwined into what is one of the most unique festival experiences on the planet.

Jon Hopkins joins Lost Village’s ever-dynamic musical lineup, encompassing a worldwide palette of disco, indie, electronica, soul and beyond. This year, live performances from Little Dragon, Maribou State, slowthai, Superorganism, George Fitzgerald, The Orielles and Yves Tumor will join some of the hottest selectors in the world, ranging from Peggy Gou to Bicep, Hunee to Richie Hawtin, Jayda G to Nabihah Iqbal and beyond.

Incredible eating sits at the very core of the Lost Village experience. Far more than just a music festival, Villagers’ woodland escapades will also include mind-bendingly great food from the likes of Hawksmoor, Dishoom, Temper and some of the UK’s most forward-thinking chefs, including Michelin-starred Merlin Labron-Johnson and Jackson Boxer.

Across the rest of the festival lineup, you’ll find comedy from the likes of Russell Kane, Chris Ramsey, Angela Barnes and more, plus a host of creative workshops, talks and live interviews in the Institute of Curious Minds, amongst surreal performances and a myriad of weird and wonderful discoveries.
