Jonas Blue & Felix Jaehn link up with Anton Powers and Azello for ‘Weekends’ remixes

Multi-platinum selling DJ collaborators Jonas Blue and Felix Jaehn return with two huge new remixes of their January party anthem ‘Weekends’, dropping on 24th February.

The remix package enlists two esteemed peers to revamp ‘Weekends’, an instant hit which has already reached over 6 million global streams and nearing 4 million TikTok views. Globally renowned and platinum-selling DJ and producer Anton Powers eases down the tempo, giving the lead vocal extra room to breathe and highlighting the track’s classic techno pianos. Offering their own take, rising producer duo Azello lend the track a summer-tinged makeover, resampling the vocal and maxing out the track’s rave buildups.

Coming off the back of the success of ‘Weekends’, Jonas Blue has a huge 2023 ahead of him. After selling out his London headline show at Ministry Of Sound in January, the London artist embarks on his spring tour of Japan next month – with the Tokyo date now completely sold out – before taking on US residencies just announced in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. 2022 saw a typically stacked touring schedule that included a residency in Las Vegas, regular Ibiza shows, numerous back-to-back sets with Dutch DJ and producer Sam Feldt – his partner in their new collaborative project Endless Summer – and countless high-profile festival performances at the likes of Creamfields South, Lollapalooza and Fuji Rock Festival.

Now multi-platinum in over 20 counties, Jonas’ releases – including ‘Fast Car’, which this week hit 1 billion streams, welcoming Jonas into Spotify’s ‘Billions Club’, ‘Perfect Strangers’, ‘Mama’ and ‘Polaroid’ – have amassed more than 17.5 billion global streams, 80 million single sales and 130 Platinum certifications. Jonas’s debut album Blue is certified Gold in the UK and US and was winner of the Brit Breakthrough Award. Jonas has collaborated with a star studded cast of artists across his career including Becky Hill, Rita Ora, Joe Jonas, Paloma Faith, Liam Payne, Tiesto, MK, RAYE, Nina Nesbitt, HRVY, Raye, JP Cooper, Arlissa, Sabrina Carpenter and many more. In addition to his own material, Jonas has produced remixes for the likes of Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber, James Bay, Ellie Goulding, Regard, Alok, Bastille and many more.

German dance DJ and producer Felix Jaehn, the second most streamed Dance Artist in Germany, became a household name in 2015 with his tropical house reinterpretation of Chaka Khan’s timeless classic ‘Aint Nobody’. Later that year, he achieved international success with his remix of Omi’s ‘Cheerleader’. The track shot up to #1 across 55 countries and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 5 consecutive weeks, which resulted in Jaehn becoming one of the most in-demand electronic acts in the world.

With the release of these two remixes, ‘Weekends’ is quickly ascending to being one of this year’s biggest dance tracks.
