On March 30th 2015 one of House music’s most exciting new talents, Josh Butler, will make his highly anticipated debut on Denmark’s revered Noir Music imprint with his brand new EP entitled ‘Feelings’.
This essential four-track offering follows Josh’s huge success last year, winning both a Beatport Award for his House anthem ‘Got A Feeling’ and a DJ Mag Award for ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’.
The EP commences with its lead track ‘Feelings & Meanings’, boasting Josh’s signature beats, catchy vocal hooks and a powerful sub bassline. The track progresses by introducing a super squelchy acid line which really makes the production kick and takes it onto a whole new level.
Next up, ‘Inside’ continues the vibes by delivering an abundance of solid jackin’ beats, a powerful funk-driven bassline, moody synth stabs and a warped, looped and filtered vocal line stating “Feel the rhythm, feel the groove”. ‘Keep On Coming’ follows on and encompasses an powerful infectious groove, a lush vocal line and deep chord stabs to keep you moving.
Last but not least ‘Empty Space’ completes the package and takes us on more of a darker after-hours tech-house vibe with its slammin’ House groove, distinctive synth baseline and trippy chords.
To conclude, this is a very confident release from one of House music’s rising stars. All four tracks have been designed to cause maximum damage on the dancefloor and make a fine addition to Noir Music’s repertoire. ‘Feelings’ EP is available for you to own via Beatport on March 30th.
