Apollo 84’s Twisted Fusion imprint return this April with a three-track EP from Anthony Attalla, featuring a remix from Kydus.
Hailing from the south east of the UK, Twisted Fusion haven’t taken long to cement themselves into the realm of mainstay contemporary house labels, with a healthy roster of artists including Leftwing & Kody, Wade, Dale Howard, Raffa FL and Max Chapman. Twisted Fusion’s sound and vision are represented across the UK and Europe at regular label showcases such as London’s Lightbox, Barcelona’s Sonar and ADE, with the likes of Dale Howard and Leftwing & Kody making regular appearances. Stepping up for the labels next release is Chicago resident Anthony Attalla – Incorrect Music’s founder known for his infectious releases on Relief, Yoshitoshi Recordings, NONSTOP and Snatch!
‘Junoverse’ features a rumbling low-end as the track vibrantly shuffles along with razor sharp hats, fizzling synth lines and filtering atmospherics. Next up, Liverpool’s Kydus goes tribal with his remix, utilising finely tuned organic percussion in tandem with an immense bass line and hypnotic melodies. ‘Promiscuity’ recognises Attalla’s motor city influences, employing mechanical percussion alongside robotic synths, deep bass stabs and dark vocals to tie the package together.
Anthony Attalla ‘Junoverse / Promiscuity EP’ drops on Twisted Fusion on 21st April 2017.
