Kaluki announces mammoth 13th Birthday line up for Boxing Day

Manchester Academy – 26.12.18

For the last 13 years, Kaluki has been one of Manchester’s most trusted and respected party crews. Beginning life at the iconic Sankeys Soap as a one-off, things quickly snowballed and now the brand takes their inimitable brand of house and techno across the globe, hosting shows and stages at iconic venues and events like BPM Festival, Parklife, Hideout and more.

So, how do you celebrate over a decade of throwing some of the scene’s biggest parties? Throw an even bigger one, of course. There’s no messing about for this event and on 26th December, Kaluki celebrates its 13th Birthday with a takeover of all three Manchester Academy venues with a line-up that is going to be one of the city’s most talked about for a long time to come.

In Room 1, you’ll find Ibiza favourites Richy Ahmed and Andrea Oliva leading the occasion, alongside Latmun and Kaluki boss Pirate Copy. Detlef and wAFF will both be stepping up with Kaluki resident Pete Zorba to finish off what would be a huge event in its own right. But in true Kaluki fashion, there’s still plenty more to come.

There’s no slowing down for Room 2 which sees local heroes, Solardo, headlining a particular intimate party for the festival favourites; joining them will be 2018’s Breakthrough DJ winner Max Chapman and another of Manchester’s up-and-comers, Mason Maynard. Completing the bill are two B2Bs from the Kaluki family, with Olli Ryder joining Luke Welsh and Kinnerman alongside Alisha.

And finally, Room 3 – a chill out zone? Not a chance. Dennis Cruz will be delivering the goods with Solid Grooves’ Michael Bibi and PAWSA both dropping bassweight in the Academy’s most intimate venue. Kaluki up-and-comer and summer resident Calvin Clarke will be setting the vibe for the night with one of the most talked-about producers right now, Ben Sterling, taking over to complete what is arguably Kaluki’s biggest event to date.

If you’re wondering what gift to get that special someone for Christmas, you can’t go wrong with a ticket for this – move quick though, with over 600 tickets sold before a single DJ was mentioned, this one is guaranteed to be a sell-out. See you on the other side.
