Phantasmagoria Vol. 2 further documents Linev’s evolution as a songwriter, expanding on Kan Wakan’s signature melding of live orchestral arrangements with electronic instruments that simultaneously nods to the Bulgarian classical music upbringing of Linev’s past while sound tracking L.A. ‘s cinematically visceral, beat-driven future.
With plenty of experience in the game, Kan Wakan rises above the superficial, infusing his work with meaning and intention whilst still keeping emotions high at all times.
