KARABA Shares New Single ‘Surfacing’ Off Forthcoming ‘Tides’ EP

French-Congolese producer/DJ KARABA has unveiled her latest single ‘Surfacing’ out now via ONErpm. The single serves as the third of her Tides EP, following ‘Siren’ and ‘Dark Waters’. 

‘Surfacing’ is an uplifting tide in KARABA’s forthcoming five-part journey, embracing the emotive and allegorical themes of the project to develop another layer of sonic storytelling. The track is embedded with textured oceanic samples that provide an immersive balance to the rhythmic drum patterns and ethereal vocal chants drawn from KARABA’s Afro house signature. The result is a deeply meditative and transcendent listening experience that captures both the physical and spiritual essence of emergence that will conclude the upcoming Tides EP.

Set for release on June 13, Tides is KARABA’s third EP and her most personal to-date. Weaving together themes of identity, transformation, and fluidity, the five-track project is both a sonic evolution and a statement of intent from one of Afro house’s most compelling voices.

French-born, Quebec-raised female producer/DJ KARABA is redefining the sound of the underground. Formerly a professional dancer who toured with Drake, Camilla Cabello, Selena Gomez, and Chris Brown, KARABA’s approach is influenced by her unique understanding of movement and culture. Looking for a career shift, she seamlessly translated her lust for rhythm and dance to the decks, and amassed a cult following in the process.

Having earned her first Juno Award nomination in 2024 for ‘Underground Dance Single of the Year’ with her breakout hit ‘Mad Mess’ and recent cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada with ‘Dark Waters’, KARABA is on the precipice of altering the Afro house landscape. 

Ahead of the EP’s full release on June 13, KARABA will perform at California’s Lightning in a Bottle and France’s AFRODOM festivals, continuing her ascent as a global sensation.
