Karen Harding Teams Up With Shift K3Y On ‘Morning’

Karen Harding and Shift K3Y release their brand-new collaboration, ‘Morning’, on Ultra Music. The new track follows Karen Harding’s worldwide smash ‘Un-Do My Heart’, a collaboration with Digital Farm Animals which underlined her status as one of the UK’s most talented singer / songwriters. With Shift K3Y she has the perfect partner. The hitmaking north Londoner has written no.1 singles for Tinie Tempah, Zara Larsson and Jess Glynne, and previously collaborated with the likes of Chaka Khan, Robin Thicke and Becky Hill. This meeting of musical minds has delivered a massive crossover dance track in ‘Morning’. Overflowing with hooks and quality production, ‘Morning’ is set to be one of 2021’s first standout dance hits. Stream / download here: https://ffm.to/m0rning

Karen Harding is in high demand. Since she hit the UK top 10 with her debut single ‘Say Something’ (now certified platinum with over 600,000 sales), she has crashed through the 400 million streams barrier with over 2.5 million monthly listeners. Her innate ear for melody combined with meaningful lyrics and flawless vocals has seen her feature and co-write on irresistible dancefloor slayers with luminaries including Purple Disco Machine, Paul Woolford, Giorgio Moroder, Blonde and many more.

On the subject of the new collaboration Karen comments, Excited to be releasing this one alongside the talented Shift K3Y. Always been a big fan and really proud of the energy and bounce this record has!”

While Shift K3Y reveals, “Working with Karen has been a natural creative process. She has truly one of the best voices in dance music. From the moment I got sent the “Morning” acapella I knew I could turn it into something really special.”

Shift K3Y is one of the freshest, forward-thinking producers out there. He recently celebrated a new deal with respected dance imprint, Positiva, and saw BBC Radio 1 award his first release in this deal, ‘Do Me No Good’, their ‘Tune Of The Week’. This prolific artist was behind Becky Hill’s huge recent hit, ‘Better Off Without You’ yet remains one of the few producers able to deliver credible underground vibes alongside this crossover success.

The video for ‘Morning’ is something special. With a retro, cinematic feel it follows Karen and ShiftK3Y through a surreal afterparty where, in a dreamlike Elysium, it becomes easy to imagine that there is no morning. Heavily stylised and with a host of bizarre and curious characters, time seems to loop and the party never ends in this artistic feast for the senses.

‘Morning’ shows both artists at the height of their abilities. Shift K3Y’s contemporary production brings the energy and keeps building while Karen Harding’s powerful vocal soars above it. The lyrics burst with a sense of freedom and spontaneity which everyone can relate to after a year of lockdowns and restriction. With bouncing old school synths and irresistible vocal hooks ‘Morning’ is a sublime, infectious groove set to propel both these artists into the mainstream consciousness once again.
