Elusive DJ/ Producer on the house circuit KDA’s new release ‘Rumble’ has been given the Shadow Child rework.
Since breaking onto the scene back in 2012 with his debut EP release for Dirtybird, Shadow Child is one of electronic music’s most prolific producers. The king of re-invention, Simon Neale AKA Shadow Child, has racked up releases with labels such as Moda Black and his very own Food Music, as well as receiving the nod of approval from the likes of Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Claude Von Stroke and Eats Everything. Previously his remix skills have been in-demand for the likes of Hot Natured, PMR, Black Butter, Island and Sony artists amongst others, Shadow Childs talent for releasing re-edits is now applied to instant future classic, Rumble from KDA.
Having already gained radio support from Pete Tong – premiering on his Essential Selection on Radio 1, this fresh and highly infectious summer staple from KDA has been cleverly re-touched for that heightened dance floor dynamic. Coarse percussion with a raw feel is combined with a brassy, old school synth melody that simply can’t sit still. Reminiscent of Ninetoes’ burgeoning hit, Finder, there’s no doubt that this track is set to take Ibiza and festival season by storm.
Not shy of remixing himself, KDA has produced dubs and reworks for notable artists including London Grammar, Katy B, Seinabo Sey and CHRVCHES. Combine this with working on his own productions and filling a regular slot on Rinse FM all whilst remaining relatively obscure on the dance music radar, Rumble is a statement of exciting things to come.
