Kelly Cappuccio releases a soulful house single featuring live saxophone by Ernesto Dolvi.
The release comes from Vikthor’s record label VKT, which has recently shifted its sound from techno to house. This latest release has a timeless sound, inspired by classic Chicago house.
Hailing from Italy, Kelly Cappuccio is an eclectic artist who produces a range of styles. This release layers soulful vocals with upbeat guitar chords and jaunty saxophone sections.
It’s the second time Kelly Cappuccio has featured on VKT, and she joins the imprint following releases on other labels such as Dirtyclub Music and 2Dutch Records. She is also a skilled DJ whose regularly found behind the decks at clubs in Naples and other locations across Italy.
Collaborating on this single, Ernesto Dolvi is a saxophonist who is no stranger to electronic music. He has previously worked with other house producers to give their music the organic flow of a live instrument, and his performance on this release complements the soulful tones of the vocal.
After a percussive intro underscored by a rolling bassline, the guitar chords start to fade in, just before the vocal is introduced. The track builds momentum as the saxophone gives an injection of energy, and adds to the feel-good vibe of this festival ready, summer anthem.
