Kevin Knapp Releases New ‘Bell Ringer’ EP via Dirtybird

Kevin Knapp joins Dirtybird’s Flight Week series with his new Bell Ringer EP, out today. 

Flight Week continues as Kevin Knapp drops in for a brief but productive stint at the writing camp, turning his two-day appearance into an enthusiastic two-track EP. The titular ‘Bell Ringer’ kicks into high gear with the help of Mz Worthy and Life On Planets, pairing slick lyricism with cheeky production and ringing cowbells for a mischievous spark. On ‘Gorilla’, Knapp taps SHADED for a deep roller that slides with a charismatic swagger and undeniable groove. Combined, the two tracks channel Dirtybird’s signature party-starting antics while showcasing the rapid-fire creativity and savvy production Knapp brought to his short but sweet Flight Week sessions. 

Texas-bred, San Francisco-schooled producer, vocalist, DJ and label head Kevin Knapp has cemented his standing amongst the flock’s finest. His long history of hits on the label includes singles like ‘Dummer Loco’ with Mat.Joe and Maximono in 2020, ‘Dope Kid Central’ in 2022, ‘Funky Enough’ with Andreas Henneberg in 2023. Last year, Knapp participated in Dirtybird’s inaugural Flight Week writing camp and performed at Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights, further reinforcing his role as one of the imprint’s consistent contributors.
