Hailing from the diverse background of Chicago, Tokyo, and Beijing, Kit Major brings a unique blend of influences to her music: Drawing inspiration from icons like BLONDIE, Wet Leg, Amyl & the Sniffers, and Le Tigre, she infuses her sound with bold hooks and high-intensity production. Described as Tony Hawk Soundtrack Vibes, ‘Let Me Be In Your Band’ captures the essence of Kit Major’s rebellious spirit and longing for connection within the music scene. Born out of a desire to join the ranks of rock legends, the track exudes a raw energy that is both infectious and anthemic.

“I don’t play guitar, but I love guitar solos, see my problem here?” says Kit Major. “Let Me Be In Your Band is a pure rock n roll fantasy track, inspired by my love of post-punk, surf rock, and psych rock. It gives me permission to be completely reckless and feel badass – like I’m both Iggy Pop and Blondie. It was very cathartic to write and even more to perform.”

Kit Major’s magnetic stage presence and dynamic songwriting have garnered attention across the industry from platforms like Wonderland and FLAUNT. Her previous music video for ‘I Wish U Didn’t Hate Me So Much’ was premiered on Alt Press, solidifying her status as a rising star in the rock scene. With ‘Let Me Be In Your Band’, Kit Major invites listeners to join her outburst of energy, passion, and unapologetic attitude. Get ready to crank up the volume and dive headfirst into the world of Kit Major.
