Kito & ZHU have teamed up to create the ultimate summer club record – “Follow” with Jeremih, released today by Polydor. Kito and ZHU pay a tribute to house music, letting the song unfold gently, with Jeremih’s infectious melodies over anthemic chords and a beat that forces you to get up and move. The result is an exhilarating, unabashedly hopeful declaration of devotion. The stylized feet seen on the single’s cover spring to life in the charming animated lyric video and take viewers on a journey, climbing over the words and growing in number.
Kito has seen global success with her 2019 single “Wild Girl” alongside Empress Of, which became a top 10 hit at U.S. Dance radio and has amassed over 13 million combined global streams. Pitchfork said, “Kito is known for music distinguished by off-kilter drops, warped synths, and a reliably nimble touch. Each of those qualities is on display on ‘Wild Girl…[which] recruits Empress Of and brings out adventurous instincts in both of them.” “Alone With You,” a collaboration with U.K. electronic music duo AlunaGeorge, followed in February 2020. She teamed up with FLETCHER on “Bitter,” released in May 2020.
“Follow” comes on the heels of ZHU’s recent collaborations with Tinashe (“ONLY”), partywithray (“CAME FOR THE LOW”) and Bob Moses (“Desire”). Dancing Astronaut hailed ZHU as “one of the main attractions” of Virtual Lollapalooza 2020 last weekend, where he and his band delivered a moving performance by firelight in the desert at Utah’s Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Billboard praised the “deep, groovy, intermittently hypnotic and often body moving set” while YourEDM said, “it’s hands down one of the best things we’ve witnessed throughout quarantine.” View ZHU presents Coral.
