The big circle of Soundplate Records is fast becoming synonymous with solid releases from top European dance music talent so it seems fitting that the bespectacled Berlin bright young artist Klangkuenstler is the latest artist to deliver something exciting and eagerly anticipated for the label.
With global tour dates already under his belt, Klangkuenstler is hot property right now. His track ‘Hand In Hand’ does not disappoint. Whilst it is a club focused and cheerfully boppy tune it does not lose the emotional melange of jazz, classical and 60s film score influences that have become trademark of Klangkuenstler’s style. Having already amassed over 100k plays on Soundcloud and the support of a staggering array of the world’s top DJ’s, it’s safe to say this track is going to be seriously popular and show some crossover appeal to fans. The infectious bassline is coupled with some dulcet vocals and a breakdown that will send dancefloors into a frenzy.
If that wasn’t enough Soundplate have also asked two of the UK’s rising stars to deliver remixes. First up, DVWLX, the latest signing to the award winning Black Butter Records delivers a bass heavy mix for the underground. Following that, the mysterious producer Sui Generis (who seemingly appeared from nowhere but instantly received the support from the likes of Skream, Eats Everything and Zinc) shakes up the track with a brilliant piano line that is sure to get everyone’s (jazz) hands in the air.
