KOMPAKT brings “Total” to Space Ibiza

Kompakt have joined forces with the legendary club Space Ibiza and Kehakuma to bring their annual Cologne party Total to the island once a month starting on June 20th and continuing on July 18th, 22nd August and 19th September. Total is the label’s longstanding annual collection album and party held in the home of Kompakt – Cologne, Germany. This will be the first time that Total has been presented outside of Cologne and promises unique sets from many exclusive live acts and DJ’s.

It’s almost strange to think that this is the first time Kompakt have held a residency in Ibiza. Kompakt co-owner and DJ, Michael Mayer will grace the decks and headline 3 of the 4 parties this summer. He says the following “We are excited to have this opportunity to team up with Space Ibiza – Kehakuma to present Total on the island this summer. We intentionally never did anything in Ibiza so far but Space Ibiza have given us the opportunity to put together something we feel will be quite different than what typically happens on the island. We are very grateful to have been given this opportunity and to play alongside my label mates and friends this summer.”

Space Ibiza remains the most famous and awarded club in the world – the history and longevity of the club is unsurpassed. This partnership between Kehakuma and Kompakt should come to no surprise to those that know having been responsible for bringing up such luminaries as DJ Koze, Levon Vincent, Octave One (Live) John Talabot, DJ Tennis, Marcel Dettmann, DVision1, Steve Bug, Nic Curly, Josh Wink, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler and Tiefschwarz on the island over the course of their six years existence.

Total will bring together the best of Kompakt’s current crop of talent including Blond:ish, Dauwd, Danny Daze, Gui Boratto and Kölsch. Kompakt have invited some close friends along for the ride including Barem, Pachanga Boys and Miss Kittin. Michael Mayer will headline three of the four events going back to back with a very special surprise guest for the opening party on June 20th and also playing back to back with fabled Trouw resident and recent Kompakt signing Patrice Bäumel on August 22nd.
