Krystal Roxx drops high-energy summer anthem ‘Freak It (Make My Day)’

International DJ and producer Krystal Roxx has unveiled her vibrant new single ‘Freak It (Make My Day)’, out 20th September via Superfoxx Records.

A high-octane slice of progressive house, ‘Freak It (Make My Day)’ samples Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam’ to masterful effect – giving the 1989 dance classic a new lease of life. Arriving at the end of the summer season, the energetic rework destined to soundtrack countless closing parties in Ibiza and beyond.

The track’s lyrics also perfectly encapsulate the Superfoxx ethos, with ‘Freak It’ representing going out and ‘Work It’ representing working out. Superfoxx’s Ibiza shows all start with a workout to a DJ set of specific BPMs to compliment the physical movement, with research proving you’re 33% more effect if the music fits your movement.

The release also coincides with the final Superfoxx party of the year – the health and fitness-conscious clubbing brand that Krystal has been running since 2016 – with Stefflon Don locked in as headliner for the event on 22nd September. The exclusively female-led brand strives to ‘bring conscious clubbing to the masses’, offering health and wellness activities to club goers, including yoga and fitness classes.

Collaborating with sports store JD Sports, Superfoxx came to the White Isle for the first time this summer, holding down a residency at the world-renowned Ibiza Rocks Hotel and bringing superstars such as Kelis, Anne Marie and Jamz Supernova along for the ride.

The DJ school wing of Superfoxx also helps nurture the next generation of female talent, with profits raised from the aforementioned parties helping fund East London workshops run by women for women. Krystal received the Times Entrepreneur of The Year Award for the project.

An internationally renowned DJ in her own right, Krystal has previously performed at the likes of Ibiza Rocks, Ministry of Sound and Ocean Beach Ibiza, supporting Fatboy Slim, Annie Mac, Basement Jaxx and Groove Armada amongst others.

Her 2017 smash ‘You Gotta Be’ has surpassed the 1 million streams mark, frequently supported by Discover Weekly, while follow-up single ‘Like You Do’ soundtracked JD Sports’ TV ad during the Love Island Final, helping it hit 200,000 streams.

One of the hardest working artists in the industry, the release of ‘Freak It (Make My Day)’ tops off one of the busiest and most eventful summers yet for Krystal Roxx.
