Up-and-coming DJ and producer Nuri is quickly becoming one of the most prominent prospects within the EDM world. Armed with a unique musical vision, characterised by distinctive EDM sounds blended with tastes of different electronic music genres, the Nairobi based talent is in the process of taking over the Dance music world.
Nuri draws inspirations from heavyweight names such as: KSHMR, DVBBS, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Martin Garrix and Swedish House Mafia and has managed to create his own musical voice which is cutting through the highly-competitive EDM market. Having started his career with an amazing debut single, by the name of ‘Blue Lagoon’, Nuri has moved on to produce a Beatport chart entree called ‘Right Back’. This single has reached the ‘Electro House Top 100’ chart and has been received very well by both his peers and press alike.
Nuri’s latest effort is concentrated around Spinnin’ Records’ remix competition for KSHMR’s ‘Jammu’. Having already gained experience through other similar contests, Nuri has answered Spinnin’ Records’ call and has presented a remarkable production. His remix boasts an enticing exotic feel, whilst offering powerful EDM elements. Memorable melodies, pumping grooves and a spicy array of effects characterise Nuri’s rework, whilst unleashing a euphoric vibes galore. Nuri takes full control on the dynamics of the track, managing to create a fluctuating atmosphere passing from darker tones to up-lifting wonders.
The ‘Jammu’ remix competition holds some incredible prizes which will be given to the top three remixers. The winner will receive an official collaboration with KSHMR released on Spinnin’ Records, whilst those in second and third place will be taking home a range of production equipment and software. Having put so much effort into this remix and delivering such a top-notch result, Nuri is certainly a worth contender for this contest and certainly deserves to be one of the front runners.
