At the beginning of last month, L’Abarset launched its new season with the goal of establishing itself as the best après-ski venue in Europe. The surprising space in Grandvalira El Tarter continues to offer a complete leisure experience. Spend your days skiing, enjoy some of the best gastronomy in the area and experience the unforgettable parties. This year, the Andorran après-ski spot is offering one of the most interesting electronic music programs of the European winter season.
During December, L’Abarset brought together more than 15,000 people with performances by Marco Faraone, Hector Couto, Cuartero, Viviana Casanova and Vidaloca. And that’s not all. For the first time ever, three well-known events came to Andorra thanks to L’Abarset. They were Brunch – In The Snow, Family Piknik and GreenWorld. With the help of 2ManyDjs, Tom Pooks and Joy Kitikonti and Ilario Alicante and De La Swing, those attending the events could experience top-level music on the slopes.
Next Friday, January 6, Brunch – In The Snow is coming to L’Abarset again. This time with Solardo, the prolific English duo known throughout the world for their contagious energy that emanates from their sets.
A day later, on Saturday the 7th, it will be Fayer party’s turn with creator Edu Imbernon at the helm. The Valencian is one of the great visionaries of contemporary electronic music. Armed with his characteristic melodic and emotional sound, he wants to break the barrier that separates indie, electronic and club sounds. He won’t be alone. He’ll be accompanied by two essential members of the Fayer family: Mike Gannu and Millan.
A week later, on Saturday, January 14, it will be Los Suruba who take control of the L’Abarset booth. The Spanish duo, who defines their music as “Memories of the Future”, will display their careful musical selection and the attention to detail that characterizes them. Of course, they won’t be neglecting their intriguing psychedelia either.
The penultimate electronic event of the month, on Saturday the 21st, will be led by Dosem. His desire and passion to explore the most emotional sides of house and techno has established him as one of the most influential Spanish artists of the moment. His extraordinary sound palette, capable of exploding and imploding at the same time, has especially contributed to this.
And finally, the person in charge of closing the month on Saturday, January 28 will be Melanie Ribbe. She’s a versatile artist that moves between the most minimal of techno and the deepest melodies of house but with a funky element that makes her stand out above the rest.
Those who visit L’Abarset can enjoy a unique experience. The Grandvalira resort offers ski lovers everything they need in beautiful surroundings. There’s also extraordinary cuisine on offer. This year the restaurant has a renewed menu that includes dishes from around the world that everyone will enjoy. This is proven by the more than 4,000 people who dined at L’Abarset during December. There’s also a new fast-food bar for those wild nights and two more original spaces. The Belvedere Shot Bar is a new concept located in an elegantly designed space on the -1 floor interior area. L’Abarset The Club is an exclusive space full of mystery that promises to revolutionize even the coldest nights.
In the words of Alex Orúe (Director of Hospitality and Corporate Business at Grandvalira-Soldeu Ski Resort):
“We were the first to create an open-air environment with a club culture and leading DJs. That has been what has allowed us to grow within the national and international scene. Always including a chain of global experiences: starting with a good day of skiing and ending with a party. The country has made it its own, and this meeting point between Andorrans and residents has gained so much strength that it has captivated tourists. Since then the business has not stopped growing. For a year now we’ve been a reference on an international scale within the concept of après-ski with a complete experience: skiing, leisure and gastronomy”.
