Australian producer Lancelot drops his enchanting ‘Mover’ EP on Waze & Odyssey’s W&O Street Tracks imprint this May.
Lancelot is no stranger to creating atmospheres with sound and his eclectic productions have previously appeared on the likes of Anjunadeep and Modular. As someone who has warmed up for the likes of Julio Bashmore, Jamie Jones and Horse Meat Disco, Gurisik has earned the seal of approval from many heavyweights, with UK duo Waze & Odyssey bringing him on-board to join their impressive label roster including Citizen, Ejeca, John Tejada, Ashworth and Jacques Renault.
Live drum sounds add a rich dynamic to the 7 and a half-minute ‘Mover’, a production filled with light, droning chords that conjure up intense, mixed emotions. ‘Everything On Its Way Down’ has a sorrowful hummed hook to forge a light, graceful piece of house with sections of dissonance and a jazz-like fluid bass-line, before finishing on the tangible, organic percussion in ‘Closer’ where a legato bass-line underpins bright crystalline synth sounds, brassy synthetic orchestra hits and a soulful male voice.
Lancelot’s ‘Mover’ EP is out on W&O Street Tracks on 6th July 2015.
