Lane 8 – I Got What You Need

In support of his summer anthem by the same name, the fast rising star Lane 8 has announced his 12-date ‘I Got What You Need’ tour of North America – continuing a trailblazing year for the Germany-based talent from San Francisco. Beginning with two sets in Toronto on August 2nd, the tour will span 11 different cities and include a flagship set at TomorrowWorld on September 26th.

Lane 8, aka Daniel Goldstein, is one of electronic music’s great young talents, as the legendary Pete Tong testified when he labeled him a ‘Future Star’ on BBC Radio 1 this May. Dreamy, classy and catchy in equal measures, Lane 8’s deep melodic sound has already been responsible for a string of tastemaking releases on Anjunadeep and French Express. Scene favourites such as “Be Mine,” “How I Feel” and “The One” have received widespread support from a diverse cross section of the electronic music world, including Tensnake, The Magician, Chris Malinchak, Kidnap Kid, Armin, B. Traits, Above & Beyond and Pete Tong. In parallel, Lane 8 has also developed a reputation as a first class remixer with recent reworks of Eric Prydz’s own summer smash “Liberate” and Above & Beyond’s “Sticky Fingers.”

“I Got What You Need (Every Night),” featuring Bipolar Sunshine, is forthcoming on Anjunadeep / Ministry of Sound late this summer. Premiered by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 as his ‘Future Exclusive,’ the tune has racked up 420,000 plays in first two weeks on Soundcloud, and received further R1 play from Mistajam and Phil & Alice.
