A global wave of female DJ submissions continues to surge as the charity launches its most ambitious expedition yet.

Following a powerful sold-out screening of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ in London on Wednesday (26 November), music-industry charity Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (LNADJ) has officially launched its most ambitious project to date: A Sonic Adventure in Nepal 2026, a 13-day Himalayan expedition culminating in the world’s highest full moon party at Lake Tilicho (4,919m). Created in partnership with The Tribe Experience, the journey blends adventure, creativity, community and purpose.

The launch builds on a wave of global attention that began nearly a month ago. A female DJ competition which continues to go viral, LNADJ asked ‘Who will DJ the highest full moon party on Earth?’ Four weeks later, the response has seen hundreds of shares, comments and nominations, with submissions from female and gender-diverse DJs from all around the world.

LNADJ Founder Jonny Lee says “Seeing the global women-in-music community step forward like this has been incredible. We’re blown away. The passion, the purpose, the desire to climb for a project that empowers girls, it’s deeply moving and exactly the energy this mission deserves.”

A global search is now underway for the headline DJ, an artist who embodies strength, community and empowerment, and who will join the expedition in 2026.

The Mission is simple, to support 27,000+ girls in Nepal, funds raised will complete the Girls Learning Centre in Devchuli, the next phase of the Nepal’s Girls’ Empowerment Programme (GEP).

Since 2018, GEP has supported 27,000+ girls, helping them escape early marriage and trafficking, access to education, counselling and safety, gaining vocational training and leadership skills, and building confidence, independence and community.

The new Girls’ Learning Centre will expand access to safe spaces, personal development, and educational opportunities for thousands more young women.

About the premiere of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’

The private screening of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ on Wednesday (26th November) at The Garden Cinema in London brought together leading voices from music, art, and impact sectors for an emotional and inspiring evening. The documentary follows LNADJ’s 2018 Kilimanjaro expedition, where a collective of DJs, industry figures and supporters reached the summit and delivered the highest DJ set ever performed on Earth, led by pioneering electronic artist Nightmares On Wax.

The climb raised vital funds to build a home for 50 children with special needs in Moshi, Tanzania, a home that continues to thrive today.

The film charts the emotional journey of the climbers, the community they supported, and the legacy created through music and purpose.

The evening featured a live Q&A and in-depth interview with Nightmares On Wax, reflecting on his world-record-breaking DJ set as well as filmmaker Neil Kemp, sharing insights behind capturing the expedition. LNADJ Founder Jonny Lee, discussing the evolution of LNADJ’s purpose-driven adventures.

The night also featured a first-look preview of A Sonic Adventure in Nepal 2026, which symbolically passed the torch from Kilimanjaro to the Himalayas. There was also a special art auction featuring exclusive prints by renowned street artist Nicolas Dixon, whose iconic geometric work is celebrated across global electronic music culture.

The atmosphere was emotional, hopeful and energising, a perfect launchpad for LNADJ and The Tribe Experience’s next world-changing mission.

The sale for Sonic Adventure: Nepal 2026, presented by Last Night A DJ Saved My Life & The Tribe Experience began on Wednesday (26th November).
