Laura Jones, Gavin Herlihy & Miina + more added to the Eastern Electrics NYE line-up….

With the countdown well on the way for the Eastern Electrics NYE Special, the EE crew are proud to announce another trio of exceptional guests to preside over Studio 338’s Room 2, aka The Loft. Elevated above the main Terrace, The Loft will provide a retreat into a more intimate rave cave with creative lighting design and no holds barred house music all night long courtesy of by two of the UK’s favourite DJs Laura Jones and Gavin Herlihy and rising star Jordan Mina aka Miina. Festival dream team Boo Dior are on mischief duties upstairs, bringing their glitter laden makeovers and fun-filled, fancy-dress photo booth to the loft.

A shining light of the underground, the diminutive Miss Laura Jones is no stranger to the Eastern Electrics institution or any rave institution for that matter. After wowing the scene with her debut productions, including the anthem ‘Love In Me’ in 2011, Jones was soon under the wing of the seminal Circo Loco parties and fabric, later gaining a residency at Back To Basics in her hometown of Leeds. The baying crowd have since been insatiable to Laura’s blend of deep and textured sounds resulting in an intensive global touring schedule taking in Detroit’s Movement Festival, The Warehouse Project, Amsterdam’s Mysteryland, and Richie Hawtin’s Enter in Ibiza to name a few. As comfortable crafting sublime deep house as no nonsense future techno, Gavin Herlihy has been turning heads with his sets and productions since 2006, and is responsible for a mass of club anthems across a range of labels – from Leftroom ans Culprit to get Physical and Sunday Best. A firmly established fixture on the global DJ circuit, Gavin has notched up some incredible gigs at meccas such as Panorama Bar, Watergate, fabric and DC10 and fresh from an Australian tour, the EE crew are proud to have Gavin on board for their epic New Years Eve celebration. Miina was born and raised in Leicester, where he trained as a dance scholar. Passion for music sucked him into the DJ life and he was soon playing a selection of infectious house blends across Leicester’s underground, including the esteemed Sonido and One Fifteen parties. With a move to the Capital, Miina made his debut at the Eastern Electrics Festival last summer and currently runs his own night East London night ‘Seamless Sessions.’ With his productions due to debut in 2015, Miina is one to watch on this line-up as Eastern Electrics have a track record of spotting future stars… Listen to Miina.
