Internationally-renowned DJ, producer and label head Lee Foss has served as one of the most influential figures on the underground house and techno circuit for well over a decade now. Responsible for the creation of some of the scene’s most prolific record labels, including Repopulate Mars, Hot Creations, South Of Saturn and the 2023-launched North Of Neptune imprint, the dance music luminary continues to lead the industry with pioneering finesse, as he adds to an impeccable back catalogue that only grows to hold more future classics.
Following an impressive run of hit singles in 2023, including ‘We So Future’ with SPNCR & Awsumo, ‘To Be Real’ with Wuki, ‘Puppet On A String’ with Isabellea & RETNA and ‘Cadillac’ with Ralf, Foss now returns to Repopulate Mars for his first release of 2024 – and the label’s landmark 200th release – as he teams up with LA-based producers and RPM label favourites Skonka and TheConnect for the release of their unequivocally cool hit, ‘Worship Technology’.
Out now, this impactful underground house cut is flush with Lee Foss sensibilities and bolstered by his own gritty rap phrases, which weave a dystopian narrative and demonstrate another side to Foss’ unwavering authenticity. Championing groove-led rhythms and old-school vocal drops that marry house music’s founding qualities with the futuristic spirit of the pair’s synth work, ‘Worship Technology’ is an aptly-titled nod to the beauty of the genre’s evolution. Conducive to intimate club spaces, festival mainstages and at-home listening alike, this stylish new offering represents another jewel in the crown of Lee’s extensive discography, and an emphatic return to Repopulate Mars for Skonka and The Connect following his September 2023 debut with ‘Egyptian’.
