Lenno delivers discotastic remix of Sparkee’s ‘I Feel Alive’

 

Known for his sumptuous disco vibes and lush instrumentation, Finnish producer Lenno recently turned his attention to rising star Sparkee, dropping a shimmering remix of the Canadian’s single ‘I Feel Alive’.

 

The first single to come from Sparkee’s most recent EP ‘Snack Pack’ back in September, Lenno’s remix dances across the original composition with squelching synth chords, funked-up guitar hooks, glistening FX and a percolating drum rhythm, all treated with Lenno’s trademark delicate, deliciously disco touch.

 

With over 150+ millions streams on Spotify alone, Lenno has long been regarded for his unique blend of dance music, combining disco, house and funk with pop-tinged melodies and innovative production. No surprise then that his work marries so well with Sparkee’s. Hailing from the freezing streets of Halifax on the east coast of Canada, the young producer has already caught the eye of none other than Tiësto, his competition-winning remix of the legendary artist’s single ‘The Business’ was officially released on Musical Freedom/Atlantic Records.

 

Indeed it’s remixes that Sparkee has become most known for. Across the long lockdown of 2021, he managed to drop a remix a week for the entirety of the year, steadily building a reputation for delivering a blend of disco, funk and rock music that has been summed up as “Daft Punk meets Van Halen”. His remix of Ellis ‘Orbit’ won a release on Monstercat, his edit of Deadmau5’s ‘Strobe’ exploded virally after Deadmau5 declared the bassline “technically impossible”, and another reworking of Tiësto, this time of ‘The Motto’, placed third on a global Label Radar contest. With 8.5 millions streams on Spotify, 3+ million views on YouTube, numerous iTunes charts placements and sync placements on the likes of Netflix, NBC, Disney+, Showcase and Peleton, it’s clear this is one artist making smart moves in all the right places.
