Rawthentic bosses Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato open 2019 by welcoming Andre Salmon & The Boombox to the imprint, with the pairing offering their ‘Less Confuse’ EP to mark their label debut.
Owner of his own SAGMEN imprint, with further recent stand out material on the likes of Repopulate Mars, Hottrax, Leftroom and more, Ecuadorian Andre Salmon has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting new talents out of South America in recent years. Following an extremely successful 2018, here we see the South American open the New Year alongside rising Spanish DJ and producer The Boombox, who arrives fresh from his recent release on Material, to deliver their debut collaborative two track EP ‘Less Confuse’.
Title track ‘Less Confuse’ opens proceedings as the duo go to work, combining simmering sirens, bubbling bass licks and dynamic drum arrangements to reveal an up-front production ideal for the peak time, whilst ‘Rawthentic Life’ offers a slick, rolling cut driven by rumbling low ends, crisp claps and spiraling synths to mark the pairings Rawthentic debut in style.
Andre Salmon & The Boombox ‘Less Confuse’ is out on Rawthentic Music on 25th January 2019.
