As the seasons change, Letthemusicplay (LTMP) present their next release – an aptly named two-sided affair titled, Summer & Winter.
The first track to be taken from the EP, ‘Summer’ features Mercury Prize nominee and winner of the Seamus Heaney poetry prize (the first person under 40 ever to do so), Kate Tempest. ‘Summer’ is a beautifully lazy recollection of both her lover and crazy summer nights, shared over a track that is chunky, funky and uplifting.
‘Winter’ features both Kate Tempest and Until The Ribbon Breaks (UTRB) on a downbeat walk through the winter snow, showcasing UTRB’s signature sound of apocalyptic pop and avant-garde R&B. A hotly tipped OTW act for 2015, UTRB are about to embark as the main support on London Grammar’s upcoming American tour, to coincide with their imminent debut UK release this November. Winter combines vocals and lyrics of two of the most interesting upcoming UK talent’s over a yearning, honest 4×4 beat.
Letthemusicplay (LTMP) are the mysterious, talented production duo responsible for bringing together these two exciting artists and have already received a full house of DJ support including Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Scream, Toddla T and more. ‘Summer & Winter’ continues their run of leftfield but melodic releases – not easy to pigeonhole but always playlist worthy.
