Linden Jay – Be Like You

Standing out against the current slew of deep house releases, London-born and bred producer Linden Jay draws upon his extensive and varied background in music to offer something more in the way of real soul and musicality.  Be Like You, Linden Jay’s sophomore single on Sony Music, features the vocal talents of Sam Frank, whom many will know from Skream’s recent disco-tinged hit Rollercoaster.

Be Like You solidifies Linden’s increasingly trademark sound, continuing in the vein of his debut single on Sony, Break The Hold, which single-handedly fast-tracked Linden into the spotlight; securing praise from Vice, Vibe, UKF, Mixmag, Notion and SBTV, with love right across the BBC Radio 1 network from Zane Lowe, DJ Target, Tim Westwood, Mistajam, Toddla T and Trevor Nelson, alongside Kiss FM and a highly-coveted Record of the Week on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

A release with long-time friend and collaborator Shift K3Y (Columbia) on Linden’s Tropical Juice EP followed on London tastemaker label Bullet Train Records, alongside Just Cool Nuh, a free download featuring West London rhymer Scrufizzer (Black Butter).

For now though, all roads lead to Be Like You, out June 5th on Sony Music, with a crazy remix package still to be announced…  In the meantime, check out the official video, premiering today on YouTube.
