Swiftly laying down a marker for 2020, we have a brand-new release ‘Whiskey Dave’ which signals the intent ahead for Amod3us as he arrives on Filthy Beats Digital in style. Fronted by a dirty and chunky kickdrum ‘Whiskey Dave’ springs into life with a stack of crispy cymbals doing the rhythmic work whilst the rubbery bassline slips and slides through its tune to bulk out the sub frequency range. Scatter gun percussive rolls send the track into a frantic crescendo on the build-ups as the vocal phrases ring out a tune as the drops detonate that hefty kick drum and bass combo again. Siren-like synths mark the return of the heavy bass, giving off those throwback Space Ibiza main room vibes, a style that Amod3us shares a good sonic connection with. It’s a deep, energetic and subtly moody production that has come together with a sprinkling of magic that separates these kinds of tracks from the masses.
