Zulu Records have reached the mammoth milestone of 100 releases. Since starting out in 2012, they’ve had 11 tracks in Beatport’s top 10, two of which reached the top spot, as well as 22 tracks reaching the overall top 100. They celebrate their 100th release with a suitably bass-heavy cut, produced by label founders My Digital Enemy, alongside Shanghai-based Kadian. Unsurprisingly, ‘Lives Again’ has already received heavy radio support from Danny Howard who gave the track its worldwide premiere on BBC Radio 1; further DJ support has since come in from the likes of Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn, Benny Benassi and many more.
Fusing elements of garage and house in the way that only My Digital Enemy can, ‘Lives Again’ is a must-have record for any party. From the top, the track delivers a jackin bass rhythm matched up with 90s garage drum patterns, and featuring an iconic vocal hook alongside a groove-infused melody, My Digital Enemy and Kadian delve deep into their production skills to deliver an absolute banger with this one.
Big breaks deliver on their heavy promises give the drop even more impact, as this hands-in-the-air party record breaks the mould for the next step of Zulu’s journey. Full of fire, punch and energy, ‘Lives Again’ is the perfect way to celebrate a centurion of underground house music releases.
Zulu aren’t about to stop now, in fact, they’re only just getting started.
