London-based DJ-Producer Kradriff gets to you with a new ep titled “Dark Riff”.
Dark Riff EP passes through sorrow, grief, and hopelessness. It centres on the daily struggles of a person who has had enough of the world’s burden and is going to be reborn in a new avatar.
The ep consists of “Groans of Misery”, “Lament Soul” and “Unconscious Despair”.
“Groans of Misery” is about being perplexed and unsure of what to do. It depicts the tale of a person who is presented with various possibilities but decides against them, continuing to carry the burden already on his shoulders.
“Lament Soul” addresses the anguish and suffering brought by holding onto things for too long. The hypnotic melody portrays the monotonous life and how, with each passing day, the soul screams out for release.
“Unconscious Despair” expresses the disquiet and discomfort you have when something is wrong, but you do nothing to change it are the themes of this song. The melody makes you feel restless and agitated as if you’ve had enough of your problems and are ready to take charge of your life.
