London Topaz is a project from Australian producer Nick Melitsis who is crafting a unique blend of indie-dance/electro-house music with alternative-pop influences.
He’s giving us a new single this week called ‘Promises’ which features the golden vocal sounds of Melbourne singer/songwriter Zoe A’dore, and they do work so perfectly well against Nick’s backdrop of pulsing beats, lush percussions and atmospheric synths.
“This song is about seeking validation from someone who isn’t really there. I was becoming pretty inspired by artists like Overmono and TSHA and wanted to create something in that vain.” ~ London Topaz
Just a few weeks ago London Topaz gave us an exceptional single called ‘Drifting’ (featuring Melbourne artist Blush’ko on vocals) which has received much praise and attention from music fans and curators across the globe. He caught the attention of Triple J Group Music Director Richard Kingsmill who played the song on his “2023” program, while also scoring airplay on “soul ctrl”, “Mornings” and Unearthed.
Nick Melitsis is also excited to announce that he has recently signed to Australian label Sweat It Out and sitting on a collection of all-new material that he’ll be sharing with us very soon!
