Los Cabra – Deseado

Audiojack’s Gruuv imprint hosts Los Cabra’s ‘Deseado’ EP this July, featuring three deep cuts and a remix from Germany’s Bebetta.

Berlin-based Christ Burstein and Manuel Sahagun have established themselves as part of their collaborative project Los Cabra over recent years, heading up Rural Records (alongside Sascha Cawa) and releasing material via the likes of Get Physical, Bar 25, ZEHN Records and Culprit among others. July now sees the Argentinian pair debut on Audiojack’s Gruuv imprint, accompanied by DJ and producer Bebetta – who when not running her famous ‘Bebetta in Bed’ sessions, welcoming artists such as Super Flu and Cioz, is a regular at some of the country’s core hotspots whilst making appearances worldwide from Australia through to India and beyond.

‘Deseado’ opens with a sharp focus on organic rhythms amalgamated into rich drum patterns, vocals chants and rattling drums. Next, ‘Guayquiraro’ injects chords which build and fade, along with oscillating synths pitched higher in tantalising arpeggios, until ‘Pilocomayo’ slows things down, focusing on acid dipped melodies which float atop warm atmospherics and looped groove-heavy bass patterns. Last up, Bebetta gives her take on ‘Deseado’, stripping back the percussion to bring attention to spacey lead riffs and dusty effects.

Los Cabra ‘Deseado’ is out on Gruuv on 19th July 2019.
