Ki Creighton & Makanan - Lost Nights

1st May sees UK maestro Ki Creighton team up with prolific Spanish DJ/producer Makanan to release their 'Lost Nights' EP via Mar-T's label, Wow! Recordings.

Although this is first time the pair have released on Wow! Recordings as a double act, the two respective DJ/producers have previously collaborated for labels such as Elrow Music, Underground Audio, Kenja Records and via Ki's own imprint, Under No Illusion. Ki's recent track 'Face 2 Face' (Lost Records) was also recently remixed by Wow's head honchos Mar-T & Luca Donzelli.

The EP's title-named track, 'Lost Nights', kicks off proceedings, a deep-groover that sees the pair blend a mesmerising assortment of warm pad sounds, stunning effects and vocal samples with a steady four-to-the-floor rhythm.

Esteemed Italian artist Ruben Mandolini's remix of 'Lost Nights' comes next, combining the original's vocals and effects with various Tech-House inspired elements including, a tight Jackin' groove, a deep rumbling bass and quirky synth riffs.

'Burning' follows, a euphoric-groover that fuses a Trance-like synth riff with a filtered TB-303-esque bassline and a selection of soulful vocals to great effect.

Closing this excellent four-track EP is 'Dancin Therapy', built around a tight selection of drums and percussive fills that once again perfectly accompany the track's timely vocal snippets.

'Lost Nights' EP is available exclusively via Beatport on May 1st and everywhere else two weeks later.
