In a brilliant resurgence to the dance music scene, the enigmatic anonymous producer Lost Prince unveils his latest sonic treasure “Honest (ft. Undrwvter)” – a daring demonstration of his ever-evolving artistry. The melodic gem follows on the heels of his serendipitous September rework of Illenium’s “Starfall”, marking his first significant release since 2021. “Honest” will serve as the first single off of his highly anticipated, genre-bending EP Exile where fans will see Lost Prince experiment with melodic techno and house, as well as sprinkles of a plethora of other genres. “Honest” is out now on all streaming platforms.
“Honest” opens with a powerful, punching kick drum accompanied by intricate synths that echo throughout the soundscape, immediately captivating listeners from the outset. Quickly, Lost Prince introduces elements of classic house, a four-on-the-floor percussive beat that creates a rhythm impossible to resist. As the track evolves, a slight deceleration in tempo imparts a more progressive feel, allowing room for the track to breathe and expand. An eerily enchanting synth layer envelops the sonic painting, compelling listeners to close their eyes and truly immerse themselves in the wonderland of ethereal sounds the track offers. As an evocative vocal cut graces the track, every detailed stem of the production comes together creating an epic explosion of sound. Crafted with both the dancefloor in mind and for introspective listening sessions, “Honest” is a testament to the transformative power of music, audibly boasting a melody that oscillates between energetic peaks and atmospheric valleys.
