On June 2nd Madrid based producer and DJ, Loui Fernandez, returns to refused. with another one of his dark majestic minimal EP’s titled “Attemporal.” With each release on the refused. imprint we hear Loui Fernandez grow more and more into his own authentic minimal sound. Building a reputation based on his pure, raw talent, Loui Fernandez’s work has been supported by world-renowned producers such as Technasia, Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, Metric, David Squillace, and Sander Kleinenberg to name a few.
Attemporal brings in a number of different elements to this EP with four tracks; Walker, Glucosa, Dimensions, and Oblivion. “Walker” starts with a powerful and deep kick, propelling you into a techno frenzie. The tempo is quick and the low daunting vocal is humble. A few subtle breaks in this track build you up for the dark, driving and powerful last surge of energy rolling out till the end. “Glucosa” is an atmospheric techno treat with a bouncy and bellowing bassline and beautiful percussions. “Dimensions” is a synthy- groove which incorporates a strong, deep and bouncy bass with a hollow synthy melody creeping in and out. A classic industrial sound fills the spaces between a whirwind of synths and sounds.”Oblivion” ends Attemporal off with a strong dark layered track of moody basslines, sexy synths and trembling hi-hats. Break-downs lead you deeper into this techno stormer and set you into utter oblivion.
