DJ and production wizard Louis Proud is back to form with another powerful release by the name of ‘So Many Promises’. Remixed by the talented Bontan, ‘So Many Promises’ is part of Circus Recordings’ ‘Moments. Vol 1’ compilation, which is now out on Beatport.

Hailing from Coventry, Louis Proud is making waves within the electronic music scene and is establishing himself as one of the foremost players within the House genre. Having been in the industry for the last seven years, Louis Proud has been on the radar of world renowned labels, having signed with the likes of: Circus Recordings, CR2 Records, Toolroom Records and Spinnin’ Records, aside from running his own imprints: Proud Sound Records and Proud Runs Deep.

Louis Proud’s name is spreading like wildfire and his music is being supported and appreciated by some of the most important names in Dance music. In the past few months Louis Proud’s work has featured an impressive four times on BBC Radio 1, as part of: Carl Cox’s ‘Essential Mix (Live from Space Ibiza)’, Danny Howard’s ‘Dance Anthems’, Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Mix’ and Hannah Wants’ show.

‘So Many Promises (Bontan Remix)’ is one of the leading tracks contained within the ‘Moments. Vol 2’ ten-track package, amongst the works of leading artists such as: Carl Cox, David Glass, Green Velvet, Horatio, Kydus, Yousef, Reboot and Tim Green. Bontan’s remix kicks off with an infectious House groove, embellished with some background effects and percussive patterns. The atmosphere intensifies and a subby bass-line is added to pump up the mood. Vocal effects are introduced to spice up the melodic elements within the remix. A breakdown puts the vocal wonders into the spotlight, accompanied by varied effects that add colour to the composition of the track. An ascension unleashes the deep vibes ones more, reintroducing the catchy groove once again. The production keeps a high momentum till the very end, before concluding with a mellower tract. Louis Proud’s Deep House infused effort has certainly created a very solid basis for Bontan’s twist, which offered a complimentary variation to the original mix.
