Louis Proud - Louis Proud – The Real Thing ft. SamaroPhox

Coventry based DJ and producer Louis Proud is quickly becoming one of the hottest, rising acts within the electronic music panorama. His latest creation ‘The Real Thing’, featuring SamaroPhox, is now available on Beatport as part of iCompilations’ ‘Festival Anthems 2015’.

‘The Real Thing’ is seeking to continue the successful path he’s started seven years ago and will be aiming to add more credits to his already rich resume. Along these years, Louis Proud has already managed to sign with A-list imprints such as: Circus Recordings, CR2 Records, Toolroom Records and Spinnin’ Records, aside from his own fast-moving labels: Proud Sound Records and Proud Runs Deep

Louis Proud’s name is already on the radar of some of the most important names in the business. In the last few months, his work has landed a staggering four plays on BBC Radio 1, featuring on the likes of: Carl Cox’s ‘Essential Mix (Live from Space Ibiza)’, Danny Howard’s ‘Dance Anthems’, Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Mix’ and Hannah Wants’ show.

‘The Real Thing’ kicks off with an open synth chord progression and a minimal Hi-hat pattern. Highly-processed vocal lines take over accompanied by Hip Hop, UK Garage and Drum and Bass inspired drum grooves before leading into a subby-bass infused section. The deep vibes drive the track forward whilst leaving space for SamaroPhox’s vocals to work their magic, together with diverse melodic elements such as the clean piano-synth. The phasing bass-lines are placed into the spotlight once again, whilst Louis Proud unleashes a number of harmonic variations to spice things up. Dynamic levels are kept under control at all times, altering the single’s mood to create unique atmospheres, whilst dabbling with the energy levels that are proposed.

‘The Real Thing’ is the opening track on iCompilations’ 22-track package ‘Festival Anthems 2015’. This compilation is part of a series of top-notch collections presented by iCompilations this year, amongst the likes of: ‘Party USA’, ‘Summer House Party’, ‘Tech House Terrace’, ‘Underground House’, ‘Ibiza Opening Party 2015’, ‘This Is EDM’, ‘Dutch House Anthems 2015’, ‘Mainroom Funk’ and ‘Progressive EDM’ to name a few. With such remarkable productions, Louis Proud is certainly in for a great year, which can lead him to the very top of the Dance music food-chain.
