The Supremus Records label is in a fine run of form right now. Having just turned two they continue to serve up fascinating club tunes. Next up is Giom, who is known and loved for seeing up steamy and sun kissed house music. He does that again here with a hot new single that gets remix by Lonely Boy.
Love/Hate in original form is a laid-back and swaggering house tune with big claps, rubbery drums and some steamy and libidinous vocals from a sexy female. The whole thing builds in nice layers and sweeps you off your feet so that when it drops you can really see it sending floors wild. The dub mix strips away the vocal and lows the drums to do the talking. The Lonely Boy remix is the standout track here. The Californian artist really injects some energy and humidity into the track. His synths smear out with real warmth, his bobbling drums are physical and effervescing and the colours that ooze from the track also suck you in and bring real emotion to the thing.
