House/indie dance duo, Southlight (aka Andrew Young and Damien Goundrie), and Australian soul and funk vocal sensation, Kylie Auldist, release their eagerly anticipated original collaboration, Love & Money.
Love & Money features Southlight’s trademark basslines, big chords, house beats and tight production, as well as a knockout soulful vocal performance by Kylie Auldist. Kylie’s voice has drawn comparison to Diana Ross and Sharon Jones, her energy on stage provides an absolute dance experience. The combination of these two talents has resulted a truly anthemic song destined to fill dance floors and raise hands around the world.
Southlight says, “We wanted to follow-up our last #1 single, “You + I”, with something really special. That special something is Kylie Auldist. What a voice! Soulful, funky, powerful – you couldn’t ask for more. We’ve been admiring Kylie’s work as a solo artist as well as her work as the lead vocalist with ARIA nominees, The Bamboos, and were thrilled when Kylie agreed to work with us on this single.
Songcraft is really important to us, we want to connect with people – wherever they are. This means that for Love & Money, we focussed on creating a great song – one that works as well on the radio as it does in the clubs.”
Love & Money is the second single release on Sydney-based label, Southlight Music and is already receiving great support on Kiss FM, Melbourne.
The remix EP will be released on 16 September 2015.
