“Love Muscle XX was SO major. EVERYONE went…the atmosphere was never less than frenzied, ecstatic + joyful.” Stewart Who? QX Magazine

Following on from their Sold-Out relaunch event at Easter, the legendary multi-award winning, 90’s LGBTQ+ club night, Love Muscle XX, celebrates its Birthday with a hotly anticipated return to its spiritual home of the Electric Brixton’s high octane club setting (formerly the iconic Fridge Night Club) on Saturday September 21st 2024!

Pulling out all the stops for their Birthday Party edition, Love Muscle XX welcomes a magnificent cast of DJs, Performers and Hosts set against a majestic backdrop of the highest clubland production values with state-of-the-art lasers and lighting. Lots of extra surprises are planned to ensure Love Muscle XX clubbers can lose themselves in a hedonistic dreamland on the dance floor till the house lights go on! Legendary artist Mark Wardel (Trademark / Glitterbox) has created an iconic backdrop for the stage to add to the magic!

Known for their attention to detail Love Muscle XX deliver a top-notch nightclub experience helmed by Love Muscle XX’s legendary Hostess, Mamma Yvette, and her diverse troupe of stunning Go-Go Dancers who rocked the Easter edition back in March! Brixton’s legendary 90’s dance icon, Angie Brown is the Special Guest performing anthems and chart hits such as “Rockin’ For Myself” by Motiv-8, “I’m Gonna Get You” and the rave classic, “Playing With Knives”. Hailed for its friendly and inclusive vibe as one of the most talked-about events in the LGBTQ+ clubbing calendar, everyone is welcome at Love Muscle XX and please mark this date in your diary as it will sell out!

Synonymous with the birth of HI-NRG and Europop, Love Muscle XX’s electrifying and unique music policy soundtracks everything from 90’s classic vocal House, special edits, and Hardbag, alongside uplifting Progressive House! Priding itself on always remaining fresh and current the team are excited to welcome DJ Paul Heron, who is playing a compelling Special Birthday Party set. Paul is in high demand as he celebrates his 25th year in the business and is far from slowing down with a fully booked International diary of gigs all over Europe including the seminal “La Demence” in Brussels. Paul joins the much-loved original resident Dorian, performing an extended set of Love Muscle XX classics with contemporary re-workings and modern day twists! There will also be tribute sets celebrating original legendary Love Muscle Resident DJs Marc Andrews and Gareth full of ‘layered sounds’, loops and special original Love Muscle edits.

Love Muscle XX not only provided the soundtrack to a generation of clubbing aficionados but became a weekly sanctuary for all across the country and visitors from afar! This ethos is recreated in the new Love Muscle XX events who can’t wait to throw open the doors on the Birthday event back where it all began in 1992!

“With 90’s music now so popular it’s perfect for Love Muscle XX  as the DJs delight the original crowd whilst exciting the scene’s younger clubbers. Love Muscle xx energy is infectious…in that the Go Go dancers were booked for 20 minute sets and Pawel the dance master had to literally drag them off stage after dancing for over 40 minutes as they loved the music so much!”   Simon Hill, Love Muscle xx

Love Muscle XX is brought to you by ‘The Love Muscle xx Crew’, which includes original promoters Andrew Czezowski & Susan Carrington, legendary Hostess Mamma Yvette, original marketing manager Alan Davies,  Love Muscle XX resident DJ Dorian, and lifelong Love Muscler Simon Hill.
