Love Saves The Day Unveils First Wave Of Acts For 2019 Edition

After cementing its position as one of Bristol's leading festivals last year, Love Saves The Day returns with first wave of acts for unmissable 2019 edition, taking place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2019.

Drawing from a range of DJs and live acts across all genres, it's another diverse lineup of towering names and fresh talent.

Still riding high on the runaway success of 2018's 'No Shame', her fourth and most personal album to date, Lily Allen touches down in Eastville Park as Saturday's Main Stage headliner with an arsenal of pop smashes under her belt. Having exploded onto the scene as a teenager with hits like 'Smile' and 'LDN', Allen arrives with an unforgettable live show that nods to the past, as well as paving a very bright future. She'll be flanked by a Very Special Guest TBA, the formidable IAMDDB and Ninja Tune alumni Maribou State, with the deadpan delivery of Jimothy Lacoste and ever-evolving sonics ofElder Island setting the pace early on.

The Lonely Hearts Club saw some memorable sets throughout the weekend last year and 2019 is set to be no different, as Camelphat unleash much-anticipated party Blow! for an all day takeover. Special guests Solardo, another duo that need little introduction as they gain more and more plaudits for their channeling of infectious tech house, DJ giant and Dennis Ferrer, Eli & Fur and Eli Browntake the reins across the day.

It wouldn't be a Bristol festival without RUN on board and the Centre Stage belongs to them throughout Saturday, their acclaimed approach to lineup curation surely satisfying every bass music fan's needs. Cranking up the bpm will be bass innovator Sub Focus, legend of the scene DJ Hype and drum and bass supergroup Problem Central, while DJ Storm (History Lesson) serves up a very special set for both the biggest fans and the uninitiated. RUN constants D*Minds, Dazee, Critical Impact, Think Tonk and TS2W will keep the pace rapid alongside special guests Noisia.

Having just announced her third album 'GREY Area', Little Simz headlines Paradiso with her trademark rapid-fire flow and an array of spectacular tunes, while Kojey Radical's mix of grime, alternative hip hop and spoken word is set to go down a storm too. Blossoming from the lo-fi house scene into one of house music's major players in recent times, Ross From Friends will undoubtedly prove why the hype is justified alongside Flohio, one of the UK's hottest prospects and destined for a huge 2019, as well as the exciting additions of Georgia, Jamz Supernova and Chelou.

Brouhaha stands as a crate digger's dream on Saturday, as Palms Trax, Antal and Orpheu The Wizard offer up tantalising selections from across the globe, plus DJ Nature and Christophe & Dave Harvey. After delighting festival goers last year with his irresistible grooves, Artwork returns to the Lost Gardens stage and he's got dancefloor kings Horse Meat Disco and Gideön for company at the festival's bounciest party.

No lineup is complete at Love Saves The Day without the beloved Teachings In Dub stage andChannel One Soundsystem will be in control on both days. Made famous by their numerous appearances at Notting Hill Carnival, the legendary Mikey Dread and crew treat lucky festival goers to the sounds of their infectious dub reggae.

Notorious for wreaking havoc at festivals across the world, Chase & Status' new jungle-focused sound has been a resounding success and they'll be showcasing their blistering, RTRN II Jungle anthems as Sunday's Main Stage headliner. Locking down the slot with them will be Rage, Skibadee, Shabba D, General Levy and Brockie and Det, resulting in Bristol's most riotous party in some time. They'll be joined by a crop of the UK's most promising voices; Not3s, the London-born rapper that has seen a meteoric rise thanks to hits like 'My Lover' and 'Addison Lee', the unstoppable Ray BLK and High Focus Records don Ocean Wisdom. Make way for the legends as Congo Natty And The Rezistanceand Ms Dynamite rub shoulders with 24hr Garage Girls, an ever-growing collective of female garage DJs.

Very much at the forefront of Bristol's thriving bass music scene, The Blast have enlisted a stunning bill for the Lonely Hearts Club on Sunday. After wowing with The Outlook Orchestra in 2018, David Rodigan returns with just his records to demonstrate why he's such a pioneer of the genre, with the rapidly rising Holy Goof, devastating duo Friction & Linguistics, grime queen Lady Leshurr and bassline's leading name Notion also set to play. It's double the mayhem as Toddla T B2B Chimpo ft Serocee and Mina B2B SNØW ft Bryte offer up electrifying side by side sets, flanked by Georgia ft Emz & Dimpson, The Blast DJs and very special guest Kranium.

Following his much talked about set last year, Denis Sulta is back for more and his party Sulta Selects will keep things moving all day on the Centre Stage. Nobody has had a bigger twelve months than the young Glaswegian and he'll be in the mood to celebrate alongside many of the scene's finest selectors, including Midland, Mella Dee, HAAi and Josey Rebelle.

His Outlier series has been met with feverish acclaim since its inception, as he continues to sell out colossal shows, and a Paradiso takeover from Bonobo (DJ Set) is an exhilarating prospect. Couple that with Peggy Gou, house music's leading light, DJ Seinfeld and Chaos In The CBD and it ranks as one of the festival's must-see stages.

When you think of drum and bass, one record label comes to mind: Metalheadz. Now in its 25th year, label founder Goldie is bringing the biggest of birthday celebrations to Bristol and we're all invited. Expect the thrilling blend of thundering rhythms and innovative, genre-spanning sets they've become so revered for. Manchester collective Levelz bring their impossible to pin down sound and relentless energy to the Brouhaha while Children Of Zeus lend a slice of Neo-soul to the occasion, with Gardna & Kreed, Prince Fatty and Horseman and Vibronics also playing.
