Since first performing together at Band on the Wall in Manchester in 2014, LSB and DRS, respectively and collaboratively, have become two of drum & bass music’s most sought-after talents. Their infallible global grip, with a significant presence amongst Liquid DnB lovers the world over, has seen them not only tour the planet continuously but has also culminated in their release of the first-ever Producer/MC concept album ‘The Blue Hour,’ which dropped in 2019. A year before their album, the first volume of LSB & DRS’ Space Age’ mix series appeared online in August 2018. Since then, it has grown into a collection of six undeniably enslaving mixes, and now a live show that the duo are set to take on the road in late 2024.
LSB (real name Luke Beavon) is a highly respected drum & bass DJ and producer known for his soulful, liquid style. He first emerged in the early 2000s as a co-promoter and resident DJ for the ‘Bounce’ nights in Norwich before releasing his first productions in 2007-2008. After honing his craft, LSB returned in 2011 with a more expressive, melodic sound that quickly became his trademark. He has released music on labels like Spearhead Records, Integral, Soul:r and Hospital Records, collaborating with artists like DRS and Tyler Daley on acclaimed tracks like ‘The View’. LSB’s debut album ‘Content’ was released in 2016, showcasing his rolling liquid style and beautifully crafted production. Known for enhancing the headphone listening experience, LSB aims to create cohesive and exciting drum & bass that reward patient listeners.
DRS (Dirty Rap Scallion), born Delroy Pottinger, is a highly respected British rapper and MC who has significantly impacted the drum & bass scene. Emerging in the 1990s, DRS quickly gained recognition as one of the few MCs capable of keeping up with the fast-paced rhythms of drum & bass. He has collaborated with numerous renowned artists in the genre, including LTJ Bukem, Calibre and Marcus Intalex. DRS has released seven albums throughout his career, showcasing his unique ability to merge emotive wordplay with complex drum & bass rhythms. His discography includes solo works like ‘I Don’t Usually Like MC’s But..’ and ‘Mid Mic Crisis’, as well as collaborative projects such as ‘The Blue Hour’ with LSB. Known for his honest, inward-looking, and elegantly narrated music, DRS remains a prominent figure in the drum & bass scene.
